On June 24th, TUEM held its annual meeting (AGM). Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, it was once again an online meeting, held via the Zoom platform. For the first time, we used an electronic voting platform. The attending members voted on the composition of the executive board.
EUROCONTROL is confronted with a resistance to change within the workforce. The lack of diversity in terms of age, gender and nationality contributes significantly to the keeping in place of the status quo. A change in terms of this mindset and this lack of diversity is needed if EUROCONTROL wants to be ready to thrive […]
Dear Member, As you probably know, an ad-hoc Provisional Council meeting was held at the end of March to discuss the outcome of the Deloitte study with the Member States. We would have expected the Director General to have the decency to commmunicate on the outcome with his staff – other than saying in his […]
Even without Deloitte putting it on paper, it is abundantly clear that Mr Brennan perceives the social dialogue within the Agency as a cumbersome annoyance: he has attended less than 1/3 of the full meetings during his tenure as EUROCONTROL Director General. If our Director General has been consistent in one thing over the past years, it is his contempt for the staff, social dialogue and his attempts to destroy it. We were all able to witness this first hand during last summer’s Provisional Council, where he tried to blackmail the EUROCONTROL States to kill off whatever […]
